Connor still loves Elmo and loves any show with music and dancing. In fact, one of our healthiest habits is dancing. We love to put on music and dance, dance, dance. And we get our energy from all the veggies we eat. Today Connor wanted kale for lunch. How many 7 yr olds do you know that love kale. Thanks MJ and MIa!

We do relaxation exercises together, such as yoga and deep breathing, to help keep us calm and centered. It’s very helpful to both our mental and physical health:)

Our healthy habit:
Every weekend we go on one surprise “adventure” which takes us hiking, swimming, playing at a new park, or just walking on the beach to search for shells. Our boys love the excitement of not knowing what the adventure is and we love the chance to let our boys run and play outside.

AWE! I love Elmo. I took my kids (8 1/2 and 10 1/2) to this when they were little. I would love these tickets to take my nieces (2 and 4) with my brother. My younger niece LOVES Elmo, has his stuffed animals and some of the animated ones. Pllllease pick me!
It would be so so so much fun.

We take family walks around the neighborhood in the evenings. Not only is it exercise, but we talk about our day, and explore our surroundings.

Elmo fans over here!

Hi, we picked up a map of regional parks that outlines local trails. We pick out a trail each week, learn a bit about the history of the area and then go on a pretty rigorous hike. We bring along healthy snacks and a lot of water. It is a good way to phsically and emotionally help our hearts. Last week we went on a night hike and got to know a lot of creatures of the night (even got to hold a toad). Thanks

Love Elmo! We take a nightly walk with the dog around the neighborhood. On weekends we always try to go to the beach or go on a hike one day to explore new areas in LA. In addition, every meal must have fruits and veggies – real ones – not hidden, my daughter loves them!
June 14, 2011 at 8:48 am
Sounds like fun. We’d love to go too.
June 14, 2011 at 8:55 am
Our healthy habit involves running around outside. Fresh air AND exercise, but camoflouged as fun!

My youngest daughter, in her mid two’s, has yet to see a live show. I think this would rock her world…and who better than Elmo! Thanks for offering, mamma M.

Hi,
We take our dog to the park daily as well as ride scooters together instead of driving. We always ask our children at the end of the day: “what was the best part of the day as well as the things we can works on as a family or individual”. Our children enjoy this time. We also journal daily, with ending with a picture in our journal of the day. I just love to see our kids with a smile!
Thank You

I took my toddler daughter to the Sesame Street ‘Bodies’ exhibit in Orange County to learn about our health, body functions, brushing our teeth, etc. This would be another great way to encourage health and teach my daughter about our incredible bodies!! I guess it doesn’t hurt that she LOVES Elmo! I always learned best when I loved my teachers, too
Thanks MJ!

We shop for produce at the Saturday or Sunday farmers markets in Santa Monica. We’re loving the summer fruits!
June 14, 2011 at 9:13 am
My 3 year old loves to try new foods because of Elmo’s “try it” song about healthy foods. He loves Elmo a lot. This would be a lot of fun for him and the family. Thanks, MJ, for offering this!

My children and I like to visit the local orchards and pick whatever fruits or vegetables are in season. It’s a chance to spend time together, as well as learn a little. I love it because it’s a chance to be away from the whole “electronic” age. It also shows the kids the whole process of growing the food, picking the food, cooking it, then of course the best part… eating it!
On another note, my children love Sesame Street! They often play out the skits between Ernie and Bert, each pretending that one of them is a character.
They would be thrilled to see the show!
June 14, 2011 at 9:15 am
Our healthy habit is dancing, singing, and playing…EVERYWHERE…in the car, at home, and even while running our errands at the grocery store and Target.
June 14, 2011 at 9:16 am
My duaghter and her father would love to go this weekend if it works out.
Thanks as always!
June 14, 2011 at 9:19 am
Love Elmo! My two older girls got to see the shows when they were little. Hoping my littlest (now 4) can see it! Thanks!
June 14, 2011 at 9:36 am
What a great give away! Our healthy habits:
1. Going for long walks without a destination in mind. We take snacks and water and we sometimes stay out all day.
2. Eating in season. We love fruits and vegetables in this house!
3. Making time each evening for family play time. No tv, just lots of toys and giggles and rolling around on the floor.
Thanks!!

Talking about our feelings and needs is healthy. In our family we really try our hardest to see past “behavior” – which is really just a strategy to meet a need – and try to focus on the underlying feelings and needs. Listening, tuning in, and empathizing help everyone in our family “feel felt” – and be happier, healthier, and more connected.
June 14, 2011 at 9:45 am
These days we’re focusing on drinking lots of water throughout the day. My kids are big Elmo fans so this would be a treat.
June 14, 2011 at 9:47 am

My son loves Elmo, he wasn’t able to attend our field trip with you to see the African Cats movie because I just know he wouldn’t be able to sit there. However, with the Sesame Street Live he would be able to stand and dance around like the 3 year he is.
Thank you for this opportunity.

I had wanted to take my nephew to see Elmos health heros to encourage his eating habit. He does not eat vegi, no meat, no fruit. I am worried about him. Judy San

My 18-mo son and I do stretches together in the morning. He loves to copy my movements and, of course, gives himself a round of applause when we are done!
June 14, 2011 at 10:44 am
My 2 1/2 year old Luca and I love to dance in front of the mirror, make silly faces and giggle like Elmo. We also put on different hats and pretend we are characters from books we have read or big scary animals like T-rex or Triceratops. We enjoy the Natural History Museum and just saw the Butterfly Pavilion which was like being in a tiny dreamland.
Last week we went to the Los Angeles recycling center and watched how the big green recycling trucks operate and learned what to recycle and what is meant to go in the regular trash can. It was very helpful as a reminder that we need to take care of our earth and practice a sustainable living.
Cheers to all!

My kids and I enjoy eating lots of fruit, and also we go on nature walks/hikes.
June 14, 2011 at 12:31 pm
My son Jonah really wants to visit Sesame Street! And so would my son Nico too. Our healthy habit is that we have dance parties! We put on music (right now Jonah is really into David Bowie and Queen) and we get out all the instruments and the whole family dances around the kitchen making music together. So much fun! And I cook healthy food, I never force my kids to finish everything on their plate and they eat grown-up food and love their veggies!

Sesame Street Live!! So fun! Okay here are a few of our healthy habits … for physical health – we go on family walks every Friday morning. for spiritual health, we have prayer time before bead every night. for nutritional health we snack on things like sugar snap peas from the farmers market instead of junk food.
Thank you for the chance to win!

Wow, how nice of you to give away these tickets! The show sounds great! Our 3-year-old Haley is crazy about that furry red fellow and sleeps with a little Elmo held close and tight each night.
My wife and I love taking Haley and her 5-year-old brother Zach on weekend hikes. Last Sunday we went to Haines Canyon near Tujunga and came upon hundreds of tiny frogs along the shore of the reservoir. Watch your step!
LocalHikes.com is a good place to find kid-friendly hikes. You can even search by zip code to find good ones nearby. Check it out:

Lauren and I go for walks almost every day. She chooses fruits and veggies when we go shopping. She is great at turning off the tv and getting her dad to do dance with her instead! She’d love to go and see Elmo and Friends. Thank you!
June 14, 2011 at 3:37 pm
We would love to see this show! Elmo is a celebrity in our house. Our healthy habit is fruits and vegetables at every meal. Thanks for the consideration!

My son loves Elmo and calls him “mo mo”. One of our favorite healthy activities is taking a walk on the beach. Another one is to play basketball in our backyard.

June 14, 2011 at 4:40 pm
Theo loves Elmo and he loves his little Elmo toy that he carries everywhere! We love walking our red wagon down to the farmer’s market to pick up fresh fruit and veggies for our meals. It’s a great way for all of us to get a walk and eat healthy too!
June 14, 2011 at 4:55 pm
My son loves brushing his teeth with his elmo toothbrush while singing “ABCs”. He also loves to dance, climb, and be generally active.
June 14, 2011 at 5:25 pm
We all get on our bikes in the evening to get frozen yogurt -Three kids – two towed by mom and an independent 10 year old on her own bike. We all get plenty of fresh air and it keeps us on a path of healthy family activity together. It doesn’t hurt that the kids are ready for bed when we get back…LOL
I still love Sesame Street!!!!
June 14, 2011 at 7:53 pm
We like to go on walks, sometimes they are long and sometimes short. Lately my 5 yr old likes to run…..I think it is so great to be living in Southern CA and enjoying the outdoors…it is our families goal to be outside playing as long as we can and to keep anything that has batteries away from us..
Except out morning episode of Sesame Street!
